Nicole and Paul invited me up to Chicago for an intimate, romantic engagement shoot. We started our time together at Lincoln Park and ended at North Avenue beach for the perfect golden hour glow tones. My last visit to Chicago was overcast and rainy, so to shoot in this ideal weather was more than inspiring. But the icing on the cake was Paul and Nicole.

They’re the kind of couple that makes you feel like you’ve been friends forever. Their kindness is unmatched. I loved the way Paul would hold Nicole and give her a kiss on the forehead unasked, and when he didn’t think I was watching. Nicole’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail made the shoot just as perfect. Her smile is so bright and could light a room! One thing that is so evident is their friendship. This couple made it through undeniably one of the hardest years of history, and still love each other (and like each other!).
