Cody + Patricia’s Downtown Carmel Engagement session and Cake Bake adventure may be one of my favorite sessions to this day!                                                        

These two know how to have fun. They completely entered my spontaneous self and enjoyed a piece of Confetti Cake from the Cake Bake. They showed up looking straight out of a magazine. Patty’s Gigi Pip hat and sage button-up dress was a show stopper. If I didn’t know better, I could have believed they belonged in the Notebook.

Their hearts are just as beautiful as they shared laughs and snuggles (Cody nailed it on the nuzzles!) and made my job completely easy. They shared their love story with me and Cody’s epic proposal. Knowing Patty, he had his work cut out for him to make it a surprise. But, he was able to pull it off with ease including getting her in a cute outfit and nails done without suspicion!

They’ve dated and have been engaged long-distance, and you could tell that they don’t take their time together for granted. Marriage is going to be the best for these two love birds, who are so much of each other’s best friend. For all photographers, we love capturing love stories but we love even more when those love stories involve two best friends committing to forever together. I can’t wait until they tie the knot at the Wilds Venue next spring, one of my favorite venues to shoot.

If I can imagine, Patty will be radiant in her white dress (that she let me have a peek at!). Cody will be as handsome as ever and anticipating making her his bride. They are the best! Enjoy this engagement gallery of two of my favorites in Downtown Carmel and the Cake Bake.
