Kaylen + Matt Downtown Indianapolis Engagement

June 9, 2020

Kaylen and Matt chose for their engagement session to be in downtown Indianapolis, and I couldn’t be more excited to hear that. It’s my absolute favorite place to shoot. And after spending a couple of hours with these two roaming the city, I could have easily spent several more! They are as kind as they are beautiful, and made my job as a photographer so incredibly easy.

They compliment each other so well. Matt is the life of the party extrovert, and Kaylen is more introverted and laid back. But, they share in common their friendliness and ability to make those who are around them feel so comfortable. I came home and told my husband, “they love each other, and they are truly each other’s best friend!” I know they will have a lifetime of growing in friendship and making sweet memories together.

We were inspired to take some structural shots starting at the Indiana War Memorial and find a bit of greenery and flowers as well around the beautiful Scottish Rite Cathedral. There are several things to consider when planning for an engagement session: lighting, location, style, and your freedom to be you and express your love for one another. This should feel like a super special date night! The good news is, I provide all of my clients with a styled guide where we dive into all of these tips and tricks.

This classy pair will be getting married at the Wilds Venue this late summer. It happens to be one of the most romantic venues in the Midwest. It’s my complete honor to capture their day and share in their joy as they become husband and wife. Enjoy this engagement session gallery in downtown Indianapolis, featuring some of my favorite work to this day!
